Terms of Service

The terms and conditions that apply when you use our services.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to insulation services provided by Pro Insulation Melbourne (ABN 93 679 585 810), trading as Pro Insulation. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and pricing

  • All quotes are provided in writing and valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Quoted prices are fixed for the scope described. Additional work requires a separate quote.
  • Prices include GST unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • We may adjust quotes if the site conditions differ materially from what was observed during assessment.

3. Booking and scheduling

  • Installation dates are confirmed in writing and subject to weather and access conditions.
  • We require reasonable access to the work areas, including roof cavity, underfloor areas, or wall cavities as relevant.
  • Someone over 18 must be present at the start and end of the installation.
  • If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours notice.

4. Payment terms

  • For jobs under $3,000: full payment due on completion.
  • For jobs over $3,000: 50% deposit on acceptance, balance due on completion.
  • We accept bank transfer, credit card, and cash.
  • Overdue accounts may incur interest at 2% per month.

5. Our responsibilities

We will:

  • Complete the work to the specification described in your quote.
  • Use materials that meet the R-values and standards specified.
  • Leave the work area clean and remove all packaging and waste.
  • Provide a completion report documenting the work completed.
  • Honour our 50-year warranty as described in our warranty policy.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work areas.
  • Disclose any known hazards (asbestos, pests, structural issues, etc.).
  • Ensure you have authority to authorise work on the property.
  • Make payment as agreed in the quote terms.

7. Cancellation

  • You may cancel before work commences with no charge, provided you give at least 48 hours notice.
  • If we have already purchased materials specific to your job, these may be charged.
  • Once work has commenced, cancellation terms will be discussed case by case.

8. Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of re-performing the services or refunding the amount paid. We are not liable for consequential losses (such as increased energy bills or discomfort) except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

9. Disputes

If you have a concern about our work, please contact us first at office@proinsulation.com.au. We will work with you to resolve the issue. If we cannot reach agreement, disputes will be resolved under Victorian law.

10. Website use

This website is provided for information purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not warrant that all content is complete or current. The R-value calculator provides estimates only and should not replace a professional assessment.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to all new engagements.
